I first opened to Spirit* and embarked on my spiritual journey in 1976 when I was taught how to meditate via the Transcendental Meditation method. As meditation became a twice daily practice, I found the quiet to be a comforting refuge. I began dismissing what used to trigger me. As my consciousness expanded, I tapped into my heightened psychic abilities and experienced astral projection.

     Shortly after moving to Arizona in 1991, I met a Native American Medicine Woman or Shaman named Melody Adams-Touch Hearts Woman. She was truly a remarkable individual. I studied as her apprentice and she shared the Medicine* of the Cherokee Shamanic Tradition. It was an amazing adventure and through her teachings she opened a doorway to the miraculous. After two years and countless hours together, she gifted me a prayer pipe and sent me on my way, asking for nothing but to be of service to others.  

   During our time together I was introduced to many wonderful people within the healing community here in Arizona. I met crystal healers, white witches,  Christian prayer warriors and Buddhist monks to name a few. But I kept hearing about this hands on healing modality from Japan called Reiki. And the idea of healing with energy fascinated me it was almost  Biblical in scope. So when Melody and I parted ways I went in search of my next teacher, who became Reiki Master Teacher Suzanne Smith.  And in 1994 Suzanne taught me and initiated me into Reiki Practice and I’ve been a Reiki Master Teacher ever since.  

  In the healing work I do today I use tools gathered during the years studying as a shamanic apprentice, I use sound therapy, but the tool I rely on most, the one that is the most powerful, the most transformational and the most widely accepted by the modern medical community is the energy medicine Known as Reiki Practice.
